Idea & Prototype:

We do feel like doing something like doing school’s group project. We are all tired…….

After installing aSMS, my iPhone now send SMS from a PC which significantly increases productivity and typing speed. But still i find that the default template that comes with aSMS looks a little too basic.

I built a new set of templates utilizing Google reader’s rounded Edge method and with some fancy AJAX support, it work just like a great piece of software. But there is big flaw that I’ve overlooked!. It ain’t gonna work without WIFI. [faints]

Morale of the day is to make sure you pay full attention and effort on the requirement study, else you will ended up a product that has no practical application.

Here is what I bought:
- FM Transmiter RM 35
- Phone holder that cost RM 15
- and IPhone

Shave/trim one end of the head phone jack to make it fit into your IPhone.

Place the phone infront of your screen and plug in the audio cable.

Find a clear frequency 89.90Mhz, tune in and we are live!!!

From today onwards I’ll be watching various movie ranging from TVB, DL.TV, Revision3, MSNBC, Google TechTalk & Youtube (via Edge)! With a phone rings in, I can even put them into the super loud speakers for all my pessenger to talk conference with

Another worth mentioning is about Audiobooks, I spent more time then any other activity to pickup new material while driving. This includes anything from real estate investment strategy, financial planning & strategy, personal development material and some other creativity interesting podcast.

I showed to some of my friend with this setup, some commented that it makes me look cheap. Oh well, yes it does… But Hey! it works! and it works very well!

This issue has an interesting section that talks about how Apple team works and how they deal with problems. The single and most favorable piece of information that I’ve got:

It is kinda surprised as I see changes towards my self morphing into diffrent kind of personality that cares about diffrent kind of “issue” than I used to care about before…

Out of the fustration, I decided to build a prototype my self with jiggyapp. Here it is! iPhone native spreadsheet app.

The primary motivation is to have a customizable calculator to walk around with me when I just need some financial calculator. …and Yup, it does support complicated formula expression!

Still alot of area to work with such as graphs, charts, format, style, import from MsExcel. I’ll see what I can do over the weekend.

When Apple (AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs kicked off this year’s Macworld Conference & Expo, he once again raised the bar on presentation skills. While most presenters simply convey information, Jobs also inspires. He sells the steak and the sizzle at the same time, as one reader commented a few years ago.

I analyzed his latest presentation and extracted the 10 elements that you can combine to dazzle your own audience. Bear in mind that Jobs has been refining his skills for years. I broke down his 2007 Macworld keynote in a previous column (BusinessWeek.com, 7/6/07) and in a chapter in my latest book. Still, how he actually arrives at what appear to be effortless presentations bears expanding on and explaining again.

1. Set the theme. "There is something in the air today." With those words, Jobs opened Macworld. By doing so, he set the theme for his presentation (BusinessWeek.com, 1/15/08) and hinted at the key product announcement—the ultrathin MacBook Air laptop. Every presentation needs a theme, but you don’t have to deliver it at the start. Last year, Jobs delivered the theme about 20 minutes into his presentation: "Today Apple reinvents the phone." Once you identify your theme, make sure you deliver it several times throughout your presentation.

2. Demonstrate enthusiasm. Jobs shows his passion for computer design. During his presentation he used words like "extraordinary," "amazing," and "cool." When demonstrating a new location feature for the iPhone, Jobs said, "It works pretty doggone well." Most speakers have room to add some flair to their presentations. Remember, your audience wants to be wowed, not put to sleep. Next time you’re crafting or delivering a presentation, think about injecting your own personality into it. If you think a particular feature of your product is "awesome," say it. Most speakers get into presentation mode and feel as though they have to strip the talk of any fun. If you are not enthusiastic about your own products or services, how do you expect your audience to be?

3. Provide an outline. Jobs outlined the presentation by saying, "There are four things I want to talk about today. So let’s get started…" Jobs followed his outline by verbally opening and closing each of the four sections and making clear transitions in between. For example, after revealing several new iPhone features, he said, "The iPhone is not standing still. We keep making it better and better and better. That was the second thing I wanted to talk about today. No. 3 is about iTunes." Make lists and provide your audience with guideposts along the way.

The phone is locked for certain countries and certain service providers, I can’t use unless I "hack" it. well I am unfortunate enough to get a OTB firmware 1.1.2 which cannot be unlocked easily, therefore I need to fork out additional RM 250 for the PSS SIM. I’ll show you a picture of the PSS Sim.

Suvarnabhumi Airport
The first thing that amazed me right after I landed in Suvarnabhumi Airport is the arrival panel. I had this unusual feeling of seeing non latin characters displaying on a LED Panel.

There are many plane arriving and departing every hour, every day. This is the worlds 18th busiest airport in 2006.

We stayed in Grand Princess China Hotel in the middle of china town, during the night, there are stalls selling foods, drinks, and tourist souviniours.

We had our dinner at thanon phadungdao, food is tasty and nice, but the price was so so, it isn’t as cheap as I initially thought. 

I need some time to get used to the price tag that is 1000% inflated from Malaysia

The Worlds Biggest Weekend Market, having over 9,000 booths selling practically everything under the sun, from the smallest nails, to foods, trendy fashions, antiques intricate wooden carvings, masks from far-off lands, adorable fluffy dogs, colorful fish of every hue and singing birds.

Guess what? I brought 3kg dog food from thailand, for just 50batt.

I came all the way to bangkok just to try out thier "Thai Fried Rice", the result was a big disapointment, it taste like normal fried rice.
